I went with the T-Tap of the round charging socket to power the USB. Worked like a charm! High speed charging for both ports. Love RAM mount gear, so it was an easy fit to my already existing mounts. Would like longer screws to hold the DAM to the brackets - that part was waaay too fiddly. Still, done, and looks incredibly clean. I'm recommending it to everyone who will listen.
